Palghar: The police have won brown sugar and Charas worth Rs 6.67 lakh and arrested one person in this connection, officials said on Wednesday.
Based on Tip-Off, the Branch Officer of Police Crime Mira-Bhayander Vasai-Virar invaded locality in the Valiv area.
They arrested someone, identified as Abdulla Alimulla Chowdhary, and grabbed drugs from ownership, said a police release.
The police also confiscated RS 3.22 lakh’s cash from the defendant and registered a case against it under the provisions of narcotics and the Psychotropic Substance Law (NDPS).
The crime branch team tried to find out where the defendant bought medicines and to whom he intended to sell it, the release said.
