New Delhi: The government on Friday expands the deadline for connecting aadhaar with a permanent account number (PAN) until March 31, 2022.
The Department of Tweet, Income Tax Department (IT) told that the last date has been extended for 6 months because of the challenges faced by people People because of Pandemic Covid-19.
The government has extended deadlines several times in the past too.
Earlier this year, the I-T department has extended the last date to connect Pan-aadhaar from March 31 to September 30 given the challenges faced by people because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Aadhaar is the number of identification of 12 digits issued by the Indian Unique Identification Authority (UIDAI) to Indians.
Meanwhile, PAN is a 10-digit alphanumeric number allocated by the I-T department to someone, company or entity.
