Panaji City Corporation prohibits prosesion, crackers for Chaturthi Ganesh

Panaji: Panaji City Corporation (CCP) on Monday issued guidelines for the Ganesh Chaturthi Festival to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and to avoid pollution.
However, allowing traditional fair at D B Marg and Matoli Bazaar in the appointed area close to kingdom food.

When asked how corporations would enforce all guidelines, Monsererrate said it was up to the police who had to start to impose a fine of being lost to death.
He added that the corporation will hold a separate meeting with the police department on this issue.
“People have to act responsibly.
We don’t want to be trapped in such a situation where the surge case and people are received at the hospital.
Because this we encourage everyone to be safe during the festival,” he said.
Traditional exhibitions on pedestrians along the Mandovi from the ferry point to the Ministry of Forestry will be held from September 7 to September 10 with social distance, while items Matoli will be sold near the Royal Foods, said Corporator Pranay Mainkar.

Clothing and food kiosks will not be permitted,” said Mainkar.
The corporation will allocate around 200 stalls for exhibitions.
