Panaji: Ten residents, including people with disabilities, patients in bed and very old people cannot get to vaccination centers inoculated in their homes on Tuesday in the state capital.
The corporation of Panaji City (CCP) and Urban Panaji’s health center began the door vaccination to the door last week and had decided to continue the trip on Wednesday and Friday this week.
Panaji Mayor Rohit Monserrrate appealed to people lying on the bed and the elderly to contact their local council members and get vaccinations.
The health center will vaccinate ten residents every day, three days a week.
The team consisting of one doctor, two nurses, one helper and one health inspector visiting their houses who cannot travel to vaccination centers “Team will also vaccinate one guard who cared for patients at home,” CCP co-optied member Kishore said Shastry.
Those who cannot get to the vaccination center can contact their health center, board members or even booth level officers.
The team has received requests from more than 50 people.
The Booth level officer in the city has also begun a survey to find out how many residents have taken Jab and helped in the PKC’s purpose to vaccinate 100% of the population because the corporation has not received specific city data from the health department.
However, the Urban Panaji Health Center has vaccassed the highest number of people compared to other health centers, however, not all beneficiaries are city residents.
Drive the door-to-door vaccination on Tuesday began at around 10 am and was completed around lunch time, where ten people got Jab.
Vaccine Vial contains at least ten vaccine doses and must be consumed within four hours after opening.
The majority of them are given their first dose and other second doses.
Vaccination is done simultaneously at Don Bosco.
The center, like many others, functions seven days a week and on a national holiday.
Chairman of the Minister of Pramod Sawant said the state government aims to vaccinate the entire popuulation that meets the first dose on July 31.
