Panaji is happy because the rain does not show signs of stopping

PANAJI: The unrelenting rain continuously flooded the low part of the Panaji again on Friday, removing life and bringing trees to hit vehicles and poles.

CCP officials say that persistent rain has washed plastic bottles, burlap bags, dumped fabrics, polythene bags and vegetation into the water channel, blocking the flow of water.
Peterbhat residents, Taleigao, complained that water had entered their homes, and had reached a waist high two days earlier.
“Who can we complain? Can anyone stop the rain?” Santosh Patil, an electrician in Camrabhat.
