Panchayat Polling Tax: 25L selector to decide the fate of the 1.6L candidate

Jaipur: More than 25 Lakh voters will decide the fate of 1,680 candidates for the position of members of Panchayat Samiti as the second phase of Zila Parisi and the Election of Panchayat Samiti in six districts will be held on Sunday.

Of the 1,564 Panchayat Samiti members, 536 will be selected in the second phase on Sunday.
Voters will be able to use their franchise at 3,459 voting stations throughout Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bharatpur, Sawai Madhopur, Dausa and Sirohi.
The Commissioner of the Election of State P s Mehra was informed in the second phase, voter 25.60 lakh – 13.51 lakh male and 12.08 lakh women – will use their franchise.

In the Jaipur District, in the second phase, the election will be held in eight Panchayat Samisis including Phagi, Madhorajpura, Kishangarh Renwal, Lake Sambhar, Jobner, Dudu, Maujamabad and Govindgarh.
In this district, the election will be held for 148 Panchayat Samiti members and 19 members of Zila Parishad.
“Given the Covid situation in the state, voters must wear a mask before leaving their homes.
They have to clean their hands before entering the voting office and having to wait their turn to choose to stand in a circle marked by maintaining the right physical distance,” said Mehra.
