Panchkula DCP checks postpost interstate

Panchkula: Ahead of the Punjab election, Panchkula polls have increased its vigilance in the Punjab border area.
On Sunday night, Deputy Commissioner Panchkula (DCP) examined all eight charposts between countries with the Punjab border and asked police officials to examine all vehicles strictly, especially looking for liquor and cash.
Police officials said that eight inter-state checkpoints were established at all Punjab borders ahead of the Punjab election for scheduled on February 20 in the Handa Mohit DCP instructions.
DCP instructed police officials to examine all vehicles and suspicious people in checks between countries to maintain law and order in this important time.
DCP Handa checked CheckPost with Nodal Officer and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Raj Kumar.
He also directed police officials to work coordinate with Punjab police in the border area to ensure the maintenance of law and order.
In addition, DCP also wants to focus on liquor and cash supply and check the vehicle.
He directed the CCTV camera control room from the Panthkula Police to appoint special officers to check the movement of vehicles in the border area and make a list of vehicles and suspicious people.
“The Interstate examination player has always been a priority to examine illegal activities.
With the election of Punjab arise, special arrangements have been made to stop illegal activities.
A ACP level officer has been appointed as a nodal officer for that purpose,” said DCP Hada.
