Panchkula: The Ministry of Health, on Saturday, claimed to have reached a 100% vaccine coverage by giving 3,88,384 shots to beneficiaries over the age of 18.
Dr.
Meenu District Immunization Officer Sassan said that the vaccination drive began on March 1 with the recipient of age 60.
It was expanded to people over the age of 45 and then the people over the age of 18.
The health department official said they had a target of 3,86,553 people above 18 living in the district and on Saturday, the department inoculated 3, 88,384 people.
This figure includes people who are vaccinated with the first dose since March, taking the first dose coverage to 100.47%.
As many as 1,69,845 people have received a second dose, it is 64.74% of the target.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr.
Mukta Kumar congratulated the team working on Covid vaccination drives and said that vaccination camps were detained in urban and rural areas.
He said special camps were also held.
At present, the Panchkula health department has 2,5,940 covishield doses and 1,090 covaxin doses.
