New Delhi: This pandemic encourages professionals in this country to rethink their career paths with many who see the switching industry and improve themselves to advance in their careers, according to a survey assigned by Amazon India.
Major e-commerce assigned a survey to measure the pulse of the impact of Covid-19 on the work and future career plans among Indian professionals.
The survey was conducted by the morning consult in August and included 1,000 professionals throughout India.
About 59 percent of respondents said they were actively looking for work.
More than one in three (35 percent) respondents said they saw the results of their payment as a result of Covid-19, while 68 percent said they wanted to switch industries as a result of Covid-19.
One in three (33 percent) respondents said they were looking for new jobs now where “they can do more meaningful work”.
The survey found 51 percent of adults who were looking for Indian jobs interested in pursuing opportunities in the industry they had no experience.
About 55 percent of compensation words are the main factors they are looking for when filing jobs.
Work security is also a top priority for 56 percent of Indian professionals after a pandemic.
“For half of Indian professionals (49 percent), opportunities that will help them learn and develop is a high priority when considering work.
For 47 percent of Indian professionals, having a safe workplace environment is a high priority when considering the work” said the survey.
Interestingly, 75 percent of respondents said they were concerned about a series of their current skills will become obsolete in five years.
About 90 percent said they were interested in studying new career skills and can be transferred, and 74 percent said this interest was the result of a Pandemic Covid-19.
“This study underlines the change in concern, aspirations and the interests of Indian job seekers, especially being carried by Covid-19 pandemics.
Professionals are looking forward to expanding the industry and skills to remain relevant in the working market that has changed,” said Amazon India in a statement on Sunday.
In terms of skill sets, 45 percent say they believe technical and digital skills are very important for career advancement; And around 38 percent believe marketing skills are important for career progress.
About 76 percent said they had been given support through additional training offered by their employers and 93 percent of them had used this training.
About 97 percent said they want more work training to offer.
Amazon, who has been committed to creating 20 lakh direct and indirect vacancies in India in 2025, recently announced 8,000 direct work openings in 35 cities in the country, spread throughout the role of consumer operations, companies, technology, technology, and operation.
Amazon India also held a first career day in India on September 16.
