Kanpur: Rising water surface from the Pandu River has flooded several regions in Barra and Panki on Tuesday.
The flood water that has been running in the area last week made the Grim situation on Monday.
The district government has formed a flood assistance camp at a school in I-Block of Barra.
The affected locality in Barra is Gopal Puram, Vanpurwa, Tatya Tope Nagar and Ravidas Puram while the situation such as floods has developed in the Kalyanpur and Paski area.
People whose homes are in low-lying areas leave their homes and shift to other places for their safety.
People affected by the flood, who lived in a flood assistance camp, complained about poor food arrangements.
Tehsildar Ritesh Singh said the flood assistance camp was founded at the district judge’s order.
“Employees do their duties in three shifts.
More arrangements for food will be made after nodding from the district administration”, he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Raveena Tyagi, after inspecting the affected regions, ordered Barra and Kanoongo Tehsil police to establish four assistance camps in the area for their population because of the flood like that situation on the Pandu River.
ACP DCP (South), Govind Nagar Vikas Kumar Pandey and Police Barra Police Office visited Kachchi Basti from Barra-8 and watched a situation like a flood.
They met with locals and convinced them to provide assistance.
