Gurgaon: The local urban department of the Haryana Department has formed a five-member committee to investigate the selection of contractors for legacy waste processing at the TPA Bandhwari location.
This department recently directed MCG to hold all the tender processes for reducing bio-remediation and bio-mining waste inheritance in the landfill location because the latter thought not to approve any agreement.
The Civic body has waved the cost of RS 16 Crore each to rent two private institutions for the task.
However, ULB raised objections.
Now, the panel has been directed at sending its report in 15 days.
Commissioner MCG informed that several members of the Committee had visited the TPA site on February 1 and examined the entire waste processing system and maintained a record of the amount of waste processed and transported to waste to the energy plant in Sonipat.
One of the officials checked the amount of derivative fuel (RDF) sent from Bandhwari to Sonipat while the others had been present at the Sonipat factory to verify the data distributed.
In addition, officials also examined 12 trommel jobs installed by six other private institutions.
They also looked into the waste processing mechanism adopted by private companies, which were given contracts to clean and process two lakh tons of waste.
“From our record for the functions of each trree and work from a private company, the team, who has originated from Chandigarh and Panchkula, check everything carefully.
They also verify our record.
We told them that we had transported 60,000 tons of RDF from bandhwari To Sonipat since August, “said an MCG official.
