Ghaziabad: National Green Tribunal has formed a committee whose members include officials of the Ministry of Environment Union, Central Polution Board and Uttar Pradesh and Ghaziabad District Judges to examine construction sites throughout the city and report violations of environmental norms.
The committee has been asked to submit a report within three months.
NGT regulates the panel in response to the petition submitted by the Savior’s Apartment Ownership Association in Ghaziabad, who accused the environmental permits needed not taken for the petition project in a green court claiming the developer of 1,102 units against 980 agreed units and groundwater are used during construction when the rules are clear states that only water from a waste treatment plant (STP) can be used for this purpose.
“Project Project explores some Borewell groundwater extraction to use fresh water in the construction process and for the need for drinking unconditionally NOC (Certificate No-Objection) from Central Land Water Authority (CGWA),” Petition Claims.
The NGT bench led by Chief Justice Adarsh Kumar Goo Bachelor of the Bachelor of the Senior Ministry and pollution of the pollution control council to conduct an audit of the State Environmental Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) to find out how often the violation occurred.
It directs the committee to visit the site and interact with stakeholders to verify the obedience status.
Based on findings, legal authorities can take improvement measures, including stopping the creation of third party rights and further construction activities if the law is found thinnest, the court said.
Iqbal Singh Sodhi from Savfab Buildtech, the Developer of Society, told TII, “The map has been approved by the Ghaziabad Development Authority and the Project Registered with UP-Rera.
If there is a violation, it is for competent authority to take action against us.
We have registered with the Department Related who is looking for permission to use ground water.
