Panel found the patient paying Rs 10,000-rs 1.5 lakh extra at the Ghaziabad private hospital in the second wave

Ghaziabad: The three member panels arranged for audit billing by 35 private Covid Hospitals during the second wave have found some differences and overcharging ranging from Rs 10,000 and Rs 1.5 Lakh.
The committee, consisting of the commissioner of the Municipal Ghaziabad Corporation Mahendra Singh Tanwar, Head of the Medical Officer of NK Gupta and Chief Treasury Officer Laxmi Mishra, was formed after excessive complaints by covid patients and their families.
Hospitals are given up to June 25 to obey orders.
While 90% of facilities have returned extra numbers, remaining hospitals have been given another chance to improve them before the final report was delivered by the panel.
“We audited five bills each of the maximum amounts of 35 hospitals and found differences in most of them.
There was no sentence taken, but the centers were asked to reconsider the bill and return the additional amount to the patient.
This process has not been completed .
The panel will compile hospital replies and submit the final report to the administration, “Tanwar said.
Dr.
Ashish Agarwal, President of Ima, Chapter Ghaziabad, said, “About 90% of the hospitals have fulfilled the committee’s command and returns the differential amount.
The facilities are left looking for problems.
A sub-division judge has been appointed to hear complaints of hospitals and those who have questions Having encountered officials for clarification.
“Source said administration and IMA wanted to resolve this problem peacefully, given the threat that the third wave of potential could pose.
IMA has expressed displeasure on the steps of ‘detour’, with officials who say ‘harassment’ will prevent hospitals from treating covid patients in the future.
Before the panel was formed, the Ministry of Health had received more than 20 excessive complaints by the patient’s family and more than RS 10 Lakh was returned by a private hospital after supervision.
RS 40L back at Noida Pandemic Complaints Committee in Noida received 79 complaints, which 30 – 15 medical negligence and 15 overcharging – found original.
Others do not have small achievements or cases that settle among hospitals and patients, officials said.
Over the past two months, 12 private hospitals have been asked to return a total RS 40 lakh to patients after repairing bills.
“There are complaints of almost every personal facility that is notified as a Covid hospital.
We issued a notification in 30 cases and they have all been resolved.
No new complaints have been received,” said Dr.
Anil Gupta, Nodal Officer for the Committee.
He added that four complaints received through the IGS state portal remained unresolved.
“There is a meeting next week to discuss it too,” said Dr.
Gupta.
