Chandigarh: While administration of UT is in the process of completing e-vehicle policy, four panel members formed by UT Advisor Dharam Pal has suggested the number of e-vehicle charging stations that are sufficient in all paid parking places throughout the city.
The panel also recommends utilizing a charging station that has been installed in a different parking lot.
Administration in the recent policy design increases the upper limit of incentives for purchasing electric cars from Rs 75,000 to Rs 1.50 lakh.
PAL has formed a committee to submit its report on financial incentives to be given to vehicle buyers in an effort to promote it.
The Committee consists of the Financial Secretary, Transportation Secretary, City Commissioner and Energy Update Chandigarh and CEO of Science & Technology & Technology & Technology (Crest).
The source said the charging station in a different parking lot was slow charging and the panel had recommended to take advantage of these stations also for charging e-rickshaws.
The new one, which will be fast charging, can be used for electric cars, bicycles and scooters.
The policy design aims to regulate at least 50 public filling stations in the city and at least one public charging station in each sector.
The panel has proposed that there will be an incentive of RS 5,000 per kilowatt for buyers of electrical twowheelers who experience a maximum RS 30,000; Rs 10,000 per kilowatt for registered electric car owners experienced a maximum RS 1,50,000.
In addition, for purchasing three-wheel electricity, including e-rickshaw, e-cart, e-autos, 30,000 RS incentives will be provided.
UT has also removed the limit of the number of cars for incentives.
There will be a neglect of road taxes and register costs until March 31, 2024.
The government has proposed 100% neglect of parking fees for electric vehicles in the parking facilities of the Corporation Corporation Chandigarh for five years.
In the direction of UT advisers, administration has removed the upper limit of purchasing electric vehicles for available subsidies.
