Nagpur: The Committee appointed by the Supreme Court in the three controversial agricultural laws, which has caused the ongoing protests in Delhi for months together, wanting its recommendations in the report, submitted to the APEX court on March 19, the earliest published.
“The report remains closed documents for almost five months after being delivered by the three member committees,” said Anil Ghanavat, President Shetkari Sanghatana and one member.
The next hearing where the report will be presented is expected to be held soon after submission, he added.
The committee member was concerned about the delay, said Ghanavat.
“The committee should submit his report in two months after sitting first.
The job was done one day before the deadline,” he said.
The direction of the court on the committee talks about the problem to be included after eight weeks.
Hearing scheduled to coincide with the deadline for the committee to submit the report, Ghanavat said.
The recommendation of the committee can only be published when the next hearing is held in litigation of public interest (pills) that challenges the law.
Ideally, the trial must also be held within two months, he said.
“This report will be presented before a court in the next hearing, which has not been held so far,” said Ghanavat.
The whole goal to form the committee can fail due to delay, he added.
Delays can also provide opportunities for the state government to enforce their own laws on these lines.
This further causes litigation to form the side of the country, say farmer leaders.
Maharashtra has introduced three new bills to fight central agricultural law.
The contents of the report can only be disclosed before the court, said Ghanaavat.
The Committee has spoken with representatives from various agricultural organizations to gain their views on Central Law.
The implementation of three laws has also lived after the pill was submitted.
Other Committee members include Pramod Kumar Joshi, Director of the International Food Policy Research Institute of South Asia and Ashok Gulati, a former chairman of the committee on agricultural costs and practices.
