Nagpur: The permanent committee of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Friday approved the recruitment carpet 12 road tar, changing four into a cement road and several other proposals worth RS21.38 Crore.
Although road tar conditions throughout the city are in a sad condition, permanent committee, led by Prakash Bhoyar, gives a nod to entrust the work of road renovation to the civil line area.
The administration has accelerated the carpet process back in the streets in civil lines considering the state legislative winter session, starting from December 7 at Nagpur.
The panel also conducted three other proposals including the construction of Shakti Nullah’s retaining walls in Mohan Nagar, operations and maintenance of electric water pumps in public wells and appointed the Swadaya group to run 18 libraries and 55 study centers throughout the city.
NMC will spend more than RS18.43 Crore for road work, RS49.91 Lakh for the construction wall construction on Shakti Nullah, RS37.79 Lakh (for a period of one year) for water pump operations and RS2.06 Crore in the running and center library Study for three years.
