Panel to probe allegations of sexual harassment

Rajkot: The state authorities on Wednesday ordered a question with a three-member committee to the allegations of sexual harassment of girls attendants at the state-run GG Hospital at Jamnagar.
On Tuesday, one of these sailors, while speaking to media people about non-refundable of wages, had alleged that a manager had intercourse sexual favours from her threatened to sack her when she didn’t consent.
Jamnagar collector Ravi Shankar comprised the committee headed by sub-divisional magistrate Aastha Dangar along with different associates Dr Nayna Patel, dean of dental practice and assistant superintendent of police Nitesh Pandey.
“The committee talked to a few of the girls attendants at the daytime and they’ll record everybody’s statements.
We won’t allow the guilty to go scot free,” he told TOI.
Almost 750 attendants were screened at the previous year to a temporary basis to serve the Covid-19 sufferers since their relatives weren’t permitted to remain in the hospital.
The problem came from the conversation of this country Cabinet meeting in Gandhinagar and leader minister Vijay Rupani arranged a question.
Minister of state at residence Pradeepsinh Jadeja told colleagues:”Some girls attendant has alleged sexual harassment, molestation and indecent demands.
CM led the district collector and wellness commissioner to create a three-member committee to research those allegations.” Speaking to TOI,” SDM Dangar stated,”We want to determine the truth.
Prima facie we’ve learnt that one girl had left these allegations until the press, however there isn’t any formal criticism.
We’ll publish a prima facie report at the first.” According to sources, the girl who’d left the allegations, is coming forward ahead of the police, but the group has begun recording the announcement of different ladies.
Officials stated no formal criticism, either -oral or written, was obtained by the dean or some other senior physician from the hospital.
Among those girls alleged that managers used to ship them friendship supplies through ward boys and also people that turned down the requirements were fired.
Meanwhile, the Leela Ankolia, chairperson of Gujarat State Commission for Women has asked the district superintendent of police to publish a comprehensive report concerning those allegations.
