Panel to see AFSPA withdrawal: Nagaland Govt

NEW DELHI: The Nagaland government on Sunday said that the new committee will be institutionalized to see the withdrawal of the Act [AFSPA) controversial armed forces in the state.
The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by the minister of house Amit Shah with the main ministers of Nagaland and Assam on December 23.
The committee will be chaired by the MHA Central Secretary for the Northeast and including the Secretary of the Head and DGP Nagaland, among others.
