Gurgaon: To evaluate the oxygen capacity at hospitals throughout the town, the health department has chosen to perform testimonials later Tuesday.
All these hospitals with over 50 beds have been previously directed to put plants up from June 15.
Having learnt lessons in the oxygen meltdown during the next wave, the section will even install three additional oxygen plants in Sohna, Pataudi civil Hospital and Polyclinic at Sector 31.
“We’ve begun the trial conducted of this oxygen at Pataudi now (Sunday).
We’ve setup 500 LPM (litres per second ) oxygen plants in Sohna and Pataudi authorities agencies.
Likewise, we’ll be putting up a 100 LMP oxygen plant in the Polyclinic at the upcoming few days.
We’ve set up a 1,000 LMV oxygen at Civil Hospital at Sector10,” explained Dr Virender Yadav, chief medical officer, Gurgaon.
He also added,”Also, we’ll carry out reviews at all personal hospitals to assess the status in every one of these.
We don’t need any untoward situation once and when the circumstances begin to climb again.
We’d informed all hospitals to put in oxygen plants from June 15.” He pointed out that the bureaus, which neglected to give oxygen throughout the next spike to hospitals although they had a contract for this, would be blacklisted.
During the summit of Covid instances in Gurgaon, the oxygen requirement increased to 55 metric tonnes.
The district government also stated that the hospitals can obtain their source of oxygen .
“Currently, the air source is currently 20 metric tonnes and also the requirement is significantly less than that.
All hospitals are becoming oxygen filled from the companies with whom they have a contract,” explained Amandeep Chauhan, medication management officer, Gurgaon.
