Chandigarh: Panjab University (PU) will begin taking an ideal exam for 187 posts in the Municipal Corporation (MC) from last week of July to August.
The decision to conduct an exam was taken after the meeting of PU authorities with Commissioner of K City K Yadav and other officers.
Universities explain the plans they have made for strict tests and rules and regulations.
“According to PU’s commitment has been made with the Civic body, they will begin the process of taking the exam for all posts last month in July and will finish it at the end of August.
Based on the results, the eligible candidate will be selected.
Information about the exam date and other details will soon be Sent to applicants, “said a senior MC officer.
The MC has received 48,631 applications against 170 posts in 20 different categories.
Because the Civic body will recruit employees in most of these posts after the gap of nearly eight to 10 years, the authority has employed Panjab University (PU) for a complete process, from the beginning through written exams until the results of the results.
According to the MC record, the authority has received 18,377 applications for 41 post-registrars, while 16,508 applications have fought 81 firefighting posts.
For post sub-inspector department enforcement, a total of 4,663 applications have been received against six posts and for one post legal officers, 323 applicants have expressed interest.
Although almost all MC departments struggle with labor, fire and emergency services are the most affected.
Because there was no recruitment of ordinary firefighters to overcome fire cases and looked into related aspects since 2010, the department must hire people with the basis of outsourcing against empty posts.
In addition, there is a large scarcity of the clerk in most wings.
