Paralympics: Powerlifter Sakina Khatun Finished 5th in the Final 50kg

Tokyo: Powerlifter India Sakina Khatun completes the fifth which can be credited in the 50kg category of women in Tokyo Paralympics here on Friday.
The Commonwealth Games 2014 bronze medal has the best effort for 93kg.
China Dandan Hu brought home gold with the best 120kg effort, while Rehab Ahmed from Egypt, who also raised 120 kg, and Great Britain’s Olivia Broome (107kg) each took silver and bronze.
The 32-year-old Khatun raised 90kg in his first attempt.
He left for 93kg in his second attempt but failed.
He managed to raise 93kg in his third experiment.
Khatun was the only Indian Paralympian woman who had won a Commonwealth game medal when she claimed Bronze in 2014 at Glasgow.
He was also a winner per pink Asian Games 2018.
Powerlifting was open to athletes with physical disorders who qualified in their legs or hips, which would forbid them to compete in capable weight lifting.
There is only one sports class in Powerlifting, but athletes compete in various categories of weights.
