Tokyo: Prachi Yadav India failed to finish on the podium, ending his campaign in eighth disappointing and last in the Women’s Va’a Single 200m VL2 Sprint Sprint in Tokyo Paralympics here on Friday.
Prachi completed a race in 1: 07,329s to be satisfied with the last place.
Emma Wiggs United Kingdom won gold with the best time of 57,028, while Susan Seipel, who won bronze in Rio, bagged silver clocking 1: 01.481s and Great Britain’s Jeanette Chippington won bronze in 1: 02.149s.
Prachi had previously qualified for the final by completing the third in the semifinals with 1: 07,397s.
Prachi was a champion of the swimmer for India before taking the canoe of the boat about his coach’s advice.
In class KL2 / VL2 only athletes who can encourage themselves with their arms and luggage can compete.
