Tokyo: Prachi Yadav India on Thursday qualified for the semifinals of the Canoe Sprint event in the 200 m va’a woman in Tokyo Paralympics here.
The 26-year-old player from Bhopal recorded one minute, 11,098 seconds, which was 13,014 seconds behind the Great British leader of British Wiggs (58.084s) in hot VL2 class 1 in the forest water line here.
The semifinals will be held on Friday.
Yadav, who has paralysis under his waist, has competed in the swimming at the national level too but took canoeing on the recommendation of his coach Virender Kumar.
