Tokyo: The world number one shuttler Pramod Bhagat made an impressive start for his campaign in a Single Putra competition but Young Palak Kohli suffered a difficult day in Tokyo Paralympics, here on Wednesday.
Bhagat, the ruling world champion, outperformed India Manoj Sarkar 21-10, 21-23, 21-9 in his son’s singles group of SL3 class openers which lasted 56 minutes.
The 33-year-old player, who has contracted Polio during his childhood, will face Oleksandr Chyrkov Ukraine on Thursday.
As happened: Tokyo Paralympicsmanoj will also collide with Chyrkov on Friday.
“Manoj Sarkar pushed me to the limit.
He played very well and we knew each other the game very well.

The SL3 classification is for athletes with lower limb disorders, while SU5 refers to athletes with upper limbs.
