New Delhi: In a significant size aimed at expanding national health protection for all central paramilitary personnel and their dependents, Interior Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday launched a ‘Ayushman Capf’ scheme at the national level by giving ‘Ayushman Capf’s Health Card’ to Commando of the National Security Guard.
The Ministry of Home intends to complete the distribution of 35 lakh health cards as in December.
Ayushman CAPF scheme that appreciates seven capf personnel, namely Assam Rifles, Border Security Strength, Central Industrial Security Forces, Central Reserve Police, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, NSG and Sashastra Seema, as well as their dependent family members, will allow beneficiaries to utilize facilities Health care and care for health without cash in all empalanel hospitals under the Ayushmaan Bharat PM-Jay, besides CGHS.
On Tuesday, on the occasion of luck ‘Dhanyantri Pooja’ which was celebrated in honor of the ‘Dewa Medicine’, Shah handed over the health card of the Ayushman Capf scheme to three NSG commands and the remaining cards to NSG DG Ganapathy for further distribution to NSG personnel.
With this, the health card distribution process has begun and it will cover all CAPFs.
The number of distributed cards will be displayed on the Interior Ministry (MHA) website every day.
Shah has been on January 23 this year launched a pilot for the ‘Ayushman Capf’ scheme in Assam.
This scheme is the initiative with MHA, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) and National Health Authority (NHA).
MHA’s release said Prime Minister Narendra Modi always gave interests in the interests of security forces and took many steps for their well-being.
Shah said the CAPF had to take care of the security of the country without worry because the MOD government would take care of their families.
