Patna: Minister of Union Food Processing Industry, Pashupati Kumar Paras, on Monday urged Minister of Minister Nith Kumar to conduct a fair investigation into the incident that occurred during a visit to Hajipur Lok Sabha Haji on August 23.
Speaking to reporters at 1, Aney Marg, Paras said he asked CM to punish violators after the right investigation.
“What happened to me in Hajipur guarantees a comprehensive investigation,” he said.
During his first visit to his electoral district after being appointed to the Narendra Modi cabinet, Paras was greeted with a black flag and lubricant thrown at him caused a lot of shame for him and his supporters.
He, however, clarified that the complaint submitted to the police did not have the name JULUI MP and his nephew Chirag Paswan, as mentioned in the media section (not TOI).
Chirag previously said the Paras had to ask for Nitish to order an investigation into this problem.
Bitterness between Chirag and Paras is no longer a secret.
Overall 11 people, including one Laxmi Devi, has been named in FIR who nesting with the Hajj Industry Police Office in connection with the incident.
Industrial Office Sho Santosh Kumar said three was accused – Navin Kumar, Anil Paswan and Tribhuvan Paswan – had been arrested and sent to prison.
Another accusation was reported to run away, he said.
Responding to the query, the minister said he urged CM to provide government development in the state capital to open his department office.
“CM has convinced fast action in this matter,” he said.
Paras reiterated that he was committed to developing his constituency.
He also proposed to open a university somewhere between Hajipur and Muzaffarpur to provide education about courses related to the food processing industry.
When asked about the statement of the JD (U) leader that Nitish had all the qualities of prime minister, Paras said they were all part of NDA in the middle and whatever the decisions taken would be accepted by him and his party.
However, he rushed added that the statement of JD (U) KC Tyagi’s statement was quite clear that Nitish was not in a race for coveted posts.
“Don’t try to create confusion about controversial problems such as Nitish is PM material,” he said.
Referring to the Chirag statement that he was the National President of LJP, Paras said the decision of the Indian Election Commission would clean the fog.
“Wait until the ECI decision comes,” he said.
