Kolkata: paray samadhan (solution in the environment), the initiative of the state government to reach citizens in their neighborhood instead of calling them to the government office, launched throughout the state on Monday.
In the city, Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) held citizen friendly camps in 16 wards and invited residents to register their complaints.
In all states, 47,974 applications were submitted at 1,396 camps.
On the first day of the initiative to decentralize governance, residents interact with citizenship officials and asked them to take effective steps to increase water supply, increased drainage, road cleaning, road maintenance and better road infrastructure, among other regions and infrastructure.

The nine senior bureaucrats will be part of the state-level task force that will monitor all jobs to implementation.

A KMC official who attended the Samadhan Paray in North Kolkata said few people realized the camp on Monday.
“I have interacted with no more than 10 residents since morning.

According to a KMC official from the Borough office, they were asked to record the problems faced by locals and track them until they were attended.
