Parents accuse ‘termination of threats’ from school for fees

Gurgaon: In other episodes of upheaval between schools and parents of cost problems, more than 25 parents of Delhi State School (DPS) in Sector 102 A on Thursday are performed in protests outside the school building.
The delegation of the parents led by Badshapur MLA Rakesh Daulatabad gathered outside the DPS and demanded to meet the principal to discuss the “warning letter” repeated that the school was allegedly published over the past few weeks.
When the security guard tried to stop the delegation into the school, parents began protesting outside the thecampus.
Only after the MLA Daulatabad intervention that the meeting with school authorities was held to prevent the problem from turning on.
“We have raised our voices against high DPS for the past few weeks.
But management has refused to engage with parents.
While they continue to issue a threatening letter, they refused to consider our demands.
Thus, we reached Rakesh Daulatabad to ask for Help.
He issued a letter to school and his brother accompanied us to represent our goals.
It was only because of his intervention that we could enter into and make our points openly to school management, “said the parent, who asked anonymity to avoid the action of coercion with his son.
Further parents accused that the school has issued a notification, threatening to end their children and take legal action against parents of non-payment of fees.
“They use words such as legal actions and all.
This is not how the school communicates with parents.
It sounds as if they are some debt recovery agents.
Parents don’t mind paying costs but we have problems with costs such as medical and IT costs.
There is always a scope for open and adult discussions.
But the school doesn’t seem open to it, “said another parent, whose daughter studied at school.
School authorities remain unavailable for comments though repeatedly.
