Parents demand online and offline exam mode at school

Bhubaneswar: Loyola’s parents’ parents in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday held a protest against the decision of the school authority to carry out an obligatory offline examination for class I to VIII.
Parents expressed concern that many children had never come to school after entering in the past two years and it would not be fair on the school to ask them directly for inspection.
Despite the clear state government order to conduct classes in online, offline and hybrid modes, school authorities do not offer other options unless do examinations in offline mode.
“We are more than happy when the government allows offline classes for students.
The concern of the problem is that children have not attended physical classes for the past two years.
Without attending classes if they will immediately sit for the exam in offline mode, it will cause psychological pressure on children.
Many children have never attended physical class.
