Park Citizen to come in Kattanjimalai

Coimbatore: The forestry department plans to establish a resident park in Kattanjimalai, which was declared a reserve land in June senior officials.
“Former Principal of the main principle of forest that I Anwardeen has deducted a resident park project to develop Kattanjimalai.
People will be able to plant worship on their birthdays, wedding anniversations and other important days.
We will improve forest cover and promote ecotourism , which will also help tribal people in the area to generate income, “he told Ti.Kattanjimalai is home to deer, less well-known wild boar.
Initially a Porombow land of the government under the control of the Department of Revenue, was declared a reserve area by former Collector Coimbatore S Nagarajan below the Section 26 Tamil Nadu forest law, 1882.
Forestry Department’s front line staff were patrolized in the area to prevent illegal hunting.
The department did conduct surveys to identify and document flora and fauna in the area, said the forest officer of the Selvaraj Periyanenickepalalayam.
“We will soon find out what type of Anyah will be planted to increase the forest cover,” he added.
