Greater Noida: The authority of the development of the Great Noida Industry (Gnida) will develop 14 rural areas under the Project of the Smart Village and Rs 150 Crore has been set aside for the work.
Facilities such as Panchayat Ghars, Community Center, Park, Drainage Network, Road, Regular Water Supply, Elementary School and Wi-Fi Connectivity has been planned for this area.
As part of the project, working to put a pipe for a waste treatment plant (STP) began in 60 villages in the city from Wednesday.
According to officials, detailed project reports for smart villages being prepared and the work is expected to begin by the end of this year.
In the first phase, 14 villages – Maincha, Chhapraula, Saduru, Tilaapta Karanwas, Gharbara, Chiration, Ladpura, Aminabad (Nyana), Sirsa, Ghanghola, Astauli, Jalpura, Chipyana Khurd-Tigri and Yusufpur Chakakhaberi – will be borne.
Earlier this week, this project was inaugurated by MP Mahesh Sharma, Dadri Mla Tejpal Nagar and the Backward class members of the Bijendra Bhati Commission.
“These areas will get a facelift and around 40% of local youth can expect employment opportunities in industrial units in Gnida, Noida Authority and the authority to develop the Yamuna Express Industry (Yeida),” Sharma said.
In the first phase, work tends to begin with Village Maincha which has a population of around 6,000.
This area will be developed at a cost of Rs 12 Crore.
“The target is to finish work in one year,” said Chief Executive Officer Narendra Bhoohan.
“Greater Noida is growing rapidly and among several places in the country where the data center and Hub manufacturing electronic goods are being planned.
We will spend the RS 150 Crore to develop villages in this area,” BhooShan said.
Residents have welcomed moving.
“During the rainy season, these villages suffered because there was no right road and drainage line.
Wi-Fi facilities will help, especially for children who most have online classes,” said Harinder Bhati, residents of Sector Beta 1.
Gnida also plans to develop Chuharpur, Old Hailetpur, Bibrakh, Halduni and Richhpal Ghadi.
