Pune: The issue of parking at Pune airport is expected to continue until April 30 next year because the airport authority has no plans to talk to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) or private land owners to find temporary alternative land to the work that is being built a multi-car parking project level finish.
MP Gigies Bapa on Tuesday led the Meeting of the Airport User Consultation Committee and reviewed the status of the parking facilities and the new terminal development project.
Director of Pune Airport Santosh Dhoke told TII that when they tried his best to complete the car parking project immediately, there were no plans to contact PMC or private landowners for alternative land.
“We can work on land that only belong to the Indian Airport Authority (AAI).
According to the contract, the date of completing the car parking project is April 30 next year, but we try our best to complete the project early.
Until the project is ready, parking problems will still exist.

In accordance with the press release issued by the BPAP office, the car parking project is ready for 65% and the new terminal building is 61% ready.
“MP reviews both projects and expressed satisfaction in work progress,” said an airport official.
Director also rejects plans where the car will be allowed to use a car parking facility ready.
“It can’t happen because it will have an impact on the work progress on the site and can also cause big accidents.
Car parking projects can only be used after fully prepared,” Dhoke added.
