Jaipur: Diwali is one week and a problem in the walled city market has not been resolved.
Parking, sanitation, and uneven roads are a big problem faced by traders who force them to complain to JMC-Heritage.
On Wednesday, members of the market association in the walled city met with JMC Heritage Mayor Munesh Gurjar and Commissioner Avadhesh Meena regarding this issue.
Kailash Mittal, Vice President of Market Association Johri said, “Parking vehicles outside the specified timings are not allowed, but the contractor takes money and allows people to park their vehicles throughout the day.
This has had an impact on our customers.” Parking issues are also rampant at the Bapu Market Bazaar, Chandpol and Kishanpol.
In the festival season, people from all cities come here to shop, but with congestion on the market, people today are reluctant.
President Jaipur Vyapaar Mahasangh Subhash Goyal said that the festival season is the peak time for business and when such civil problems occur, we lose a lot of money.
“Already people avoid coming to walled cities to shop for traffic problems.
We want the walled city solution or market to lose its charm.” Meena said, “We held a meeting with traders.
We have recorded their complaints and their problems will soon be Completed.
“Traders also objected to waste lying in all city and sanitation workers who did not clean them on time.
Market Secretary Bapu Bazaar Vicky Chelani said the work of smart city that occurred in the city had created many construction waste lying on the roadside.
