Kolkata: The city remained cloudy even when the Kolkata section received a mild drizzle on Saturday morning.
A low pressure trough which formed across Tamil Nadu and Odisha moved to the north to a gangetic bengal that triggered clouds and arranged to lead to more rain on Sunday and Monday, the Met Office said.
Although it will continue to remain cloudy until Tuesday, the minimum temperature fell by 23.3 degrees Celsius on Saturday and the maximum fell to 27.3 degrees Celsius.
Rain can be light to the next two days, according to the center of regional meteorology.
“Low pressure hammer moved to Bengal as expected and has caused clouds and rain.
Rain will continue and can be moderate either on Sunday or Monday,” said Director of RMC GK Das.
While the cloud cover is set to last until Tuesday, the Lowressure trough will start weakening from Tuesday.
“It will lose steam and must come out,” Das added.
Cloud Cover has pushed a minimum temperature far above 20 degrees while it has pulled up to the bottom.
