Pimpri Chinchwad: The main streets at Pimple Gurav and the merchant acne area at the Civic Pimpri Chinchwad limit are waiting for a modern road under the Smart City mission project even after the deadline for the work ended last month.

Activists Raju Sawale said, “The lack of coordination between the Civic Agency’s internal department has resulted in residents of Pimple Gurav, Sangvi Old and New and commuters who travel to other parts of Pimpri Chinchwad face discomfort.

Ashok Bhalkar, Joint City Engineer, PCMC, told TII, “The work was affected because of the lack of workers because of the pandemic, but we were working on a full swing now.
The revised deadline for completing road repair work 22-km in Pimple Gurav and Pimple merchant has been Extended until the end of December.
Our budget for work is around RS320 Crore, which has been spent by the RS100 Crore so far.
“Commissioner PCMC Rajesh Patil said that he had issued a warning to officials after often complaining about poor road conditions.
“I have told the officials concerned from the Ministry of Civil, Electricity and water supply to start road excavation jobs after coordinating with each other.
If they fail to do it, we will start actions against them,” he said.
