Part of the non-fossil fuel generator capacity rose to 39%

New Delhi: The non-fossil fuel source now accounts for 39% of Indian power plants capacity, a fact that will help the country beyond its NDC (nationally determined contributions), or a carbon reduction commitment under the Paris climate agreement, thanks to Narendra Modi Government renewable energy program.
Under NDC, 40% of the capacity of the Indian generation is non-fossil fuels based on 2030.
NDCS realizes the efforts of each country to reduce national emissions and adapt to the effects of climate change.
Indian renewable energy capacity, including installed, under the installation and tied up, stood in almost 97 gw (gigawatt) on June 30, rule minister Raj Kumar Singh told Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.
This does not include a large hydel project, which is also categorized as renewable.
On June 30, the total capacity of non-fossil fuel generation reached 150 gw, which was 39% of the total installed installed capacity.
The government has set a renewable capacity target of 175,000 MW in 2022, which includes 100,000 MW of diesel fuel, 60,000 MW of the wind, 10,000 MW of biomass and 5,000 MW of small hydro.
The center has taken several steps to promote renewable capacity.
This includes the neglect of transmission fees between countries in electricity resulting from the solar and wind projects assigned until June 2025.
The green energy corridor has been developed to evacuate the strength of renewable energy sources.
The trajectory of renewable purchases has been told by the aim of creating a 175 gw renewable power capacity in 2022.
