Partection Assam: Congress Still Hesitant About Pre-Post Pact for Thowra, Mariani

Guwahati: Congress still hasn’t decided to form a pre-poll understanding with the anti-BJP parties for Thowra and Mariani seats on Assam, who will soon be witnessed.
Even when BJP is ready to announce the list of candidates for the next assembly selection, most likely leaving the chair of Gossiiga and Tamulpur in the Bodoland territorial area for the Party of the Liberal Party Pramod Boro (UPPL), Congress.
has failed to complete the plans of its alique.
Of the five seats where Bypolls are scheduled to be held in Assam, Congress is ready to offer only the Bhabanipur seat to Raijor Dal (RD), led by the leader of Farmers Akhil Gogoi.
But RD felt that Congress had offered them a chair where the new regional party did not have the opportunity to win.
In the election of the last assembly, the candidate nominated by RD Kamal Kumar Medhi suffered a shameful defeat in the hands of AIudf Phanidhar Talukdar.
Then, Talukdar joined BJP, which prompted Bhabanipur to another election this year.
“We have no preparation for Bhabanipur and decide not to compete in this chair,” said President Rd Akhil after meeting with the leader of the Hussain Rakibul Congress on Saturday.
Instead, Akhil proposed that President Assam PCC Bhupen Borah had to fight from Bhabanipur.
“If the congress extends support to our candidates in Thowra, we can reconsider our decision for the contest from Mariani,” Akhil added.
He said in the rest of the chair, RD would support the Congress and Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) because they were in talks to sew the election’s understanding to defeat BJP.
“Even if the Congress does not leave Thowra for Raijor Dal, our alliance with Congress will continue,” announced Akhil, even though the congress had not announced an alliance with RD.
He stated readiness to campaign for Congress in Tamulpur, Gossiigaon and Bhabanipur seat for Congress’s victory.
The person in Congress told Ti that the old party of the Grand did not have a mood to ‘surrender’ Thowra and Mariani chairs from where Congress candidate Sushanta Borghain and Rupjyoti Kurmi won the last election but immediately turned around.
“At this time we were able to give Bhabanipur to Akhil Gogoi.
It’s up to him to decide,” Bhupen Borah said.
The source of Congress said Thowra and Mariani were two important chairs where Congress won despite being directed in the Assam region for politically important.
“This is our fortress where the tea park voters have supported Congress for generations.
If we allow the other party to make a breakthrough as a congressional allies here, Congress grassroots workers across Assam will be very demoralized,” said a Congress leader.
He said AJP and RD had estimated 11 Lakh followers who were anti-BJP voters.
“There is no such environment in Assam where AJP and RD can click immediately.
But as BJP utilizes regional forces in the last election, especially in the tribal area, our target is with two new regional parties, which are political advocacy on ethno lines Religion.
They have a large number of supporters from the customary community, “said the leader.
With AJP, he said, the congress was discussing Majuli where the comparison would be held next as Mla Sarbanou Sonowal had resigned after being appointed into the United cabinet.
