West Tripura: Tripura Royal Scion and Chair of the Progressive Progressive Regional Alliance (Tipra) Motha, Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman Allegedly Heckled on Thursday after the clashes broke out between his party and Tripura People’s Front, Khumulwng Party Party Party, Headquarters of the District Council, Police said.
The incident occurred by focusing on a political rally organized by TPF without the approval of the police and administration.
“The TPF led by Patal Human Rights activist Kanya Jamatica asked permission to hold a program at the Khumpui Academy Field which was rejected by the police and then by the Ttaadc police administration to regulate security for their program,” said a police officer.
“They looked for permission to hold a program on December 10, but in fear of violations of peace, the police denied the request.
Then, they were looking for security for a general meeting on December 16 and did not disturb official permits,” the police said.
Although there is no official permission given, the police arrangement has been tightened in the view of the applicable situation.
However, security settings have been tightened throughout the TTAADC headquarters to thwart unwanted incidents.
A number of adequate TSR and CRPF personnel have been deployed in the region.
