Hubballi: After the State Election Commission prohibits mass demonstrations and events during the campaign for the election of the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation Board (HDMC), political parties relying on social media for Woo residents.
EC has determined that the door-to-door campaign can be done only in groups of five, and while most candidates have started a door-to-door campaign, they rely more broadly on WhatsApp, Telegram and other portals to reach voters.

“Our social media team collects data, and our campaigns on the internet will immediately collect steps,” Hallur said.
BJP candidates for Ward 52 Umesh Dushi said that the Safron Party’s social media wings have created various groups of WhatsApp, where people are intimidated about many government achievements and BJP-led central governments.
“We also share our vision for the development of ward.
We work under the leadership of the former Minister of Main Jagadish Shettar and the Union Minister and Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi,” Dushi said.
Nodal Officer for the code of ethics model for HDMC Gopalkrishna B poll said that eight teams have been made, each consisting of officials from cross departments.
“They monitor the activities of all candidates, and if there are parties found to violate the rules, strict action will begin,” he said.
DrHarwad Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil said that the safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOP) to be obeyed while the campaign has been communicated to all political parties.
“To ensure the enforcement of Covid protocols, special teams have been formed, whose members will oversee the activities of the parties,” Patil said.
