Greater Noida: Searching in two hotels in the city leads to arrest 36 people, including five women, who held a party ‘mujra’ at night at night on Wednesday.
Noida reported 511 Covid cases on Wednesday, which was the highest during the current pandemic surge.
Police suspect some people who were arrested were part of the prostitution racket and had ordered it in the relevant section.
The party has been organized by two owner of the Cat manufacturing company.
His manager, Vipul Setyhi, was among 36 picked up.
Around 11pm on Wednesday, the police team was looking for hotels in Nat Ki Madaya Village in Greater Noida after a tip-off.
“Our team is looking for a hotel.
Five people, including hotel owners and two women, were arrested.
The two women revealed that the fifth towards another hotel in the Sigma 1 area, where the ‘Mujra’ party was held,” said Vishal Pandey, Deputy Police Commissioner additional.
The police team then invaded the second hotel and found that a party was indeed detained in the basement.
“Three more women and 28 men were arrested from there.
We confiscated Rs 1.3 lakh cash and eight cars during twin attacks,” the senior officer added.
Allegations have been ordered under the relevant parts of the act of immoral traffic (prevention) of law, 1956, and section 188 (disobedience to be properly ordered announced by civil servants), 269 (illegally or negligent distributing infection on Every dangerous disease), 270 (malignant action which is likely to spread a dangerous disease infection for life) from the Criminal Code.
