New Delhi: The large party of passenger vehicles in India fell 13 percent to 2,19,421 units last month, Siam’s automated industrial agency said on Friday.
The sales of passenger vehicles in December 2020 reached 2,52,998 units.
In accordance with the latest data by the Indian car producer community (Siam), two-wheel sales also fell 11 percent to 10.06,062 units, compared with 11,27,917 vehicles in December 2020.
Motorcycle sales decreased 2 percent to 7, 26,587 units compared to 7.44 .237 Units in December 2020.
Sales Scooters also fell 24 percent at 2,46,080 units from 3,23,757 vehicles a year ago.
In October-December this fiscal year, sales of passenger vehicles fell 15 percent to 7.61.124 units from 8,97,908 units in the period last year.
The two-wheel sales during the December quarter fell 25 percent to 35.98.299 units compared to 47,82,110 units in the same period last year.
However, the sale of commercial vehicles saw a marginal increase in 1.94,712 units in the quarter that was being reviewed against 1,93,034 units in October-December 2020.
Inter-category vehicle sales during the third quarter declined in the 46th year, 36,549 units of 59.46.283 Unit.
