Ludhiana: Commuter and travelers in bus stands and other places have fun as contract workers from the state-owned Punjab road, Punbus and the PRTC Depot started an unlimited attack on September 6, 2021.
Vice President of Satnam Singh, PRTC State Leader Jaspal Sharma , Punbus President Depot Shamsher Singh, and PRTC President Gurbaj Singh Amritpal secretary while leading the protest at the entrance of Ludhiana Depot said that their demands had not met.
Even after their previous intimacy about strikes, no meeting was called to overcome this problem to avoid strikes, leaders said.
They stated that the protest would be carried out outside the residence of the minister of chairman on Tuesday.
Leaders have demanded regularization of contract employees in addition to increasing in the bus fleet to 10,000.
The leaders said that the Minister of Transportation in a meeting on July 1 and again on August 6 had convinced them that their demands would be considered and taken at a cabinet meeting, but nothing was done.
The leaders said the government seemed to have forgotten the promise.
“People must ask where the government bus is and how many government officials provide services,” said one of the leaders.
