Thiruvananthapuram: Three women, including the duo of the mother-child, was found in an unconscious state in Nizamuddin Express which reached Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station on Sunday after they were suspected of being sedated and robbed their valuables.
VIIYALAKSHMI (45), from Thiruvalla in the Pathanamthitta district, who has lived in Agra for the past 27 years and her daughter Anjali (21) has shifted to the General Hospital while Gowsalya (23), from Salem in Tamil Nadu has been taken to the residence of the government.
The police said they were out of danger.
Vijyalakshi, who was built by the police, said when the train reached Coimbatore on Saturday night, they had food and water purchased from the station.
Immediately after, they fell asleep and did not have the memory of whatever happened since.
The duo of the children was robbed from valuables worth more than Rs 6.5 lakh.
This includes gold ornaments weighing 16.5 Sovereigns and two smart phones each at Rs 15,000 and Rs 13,000 each.
Gowsalya said he was robbed from his smartphone worth Rs 15,000.
While Vijyalakshi and Anjali traveled in the S1 coach, Gowsalya was on S2.
Vijyalakshmi told the police that the gold ornaments they controlled including those they were wearing and those stored in their churidar pocket.
They will attend the wedding of Vijyalyakshmi’s nephew and should go down at Kayamkulam train station, Gowsalya has risen the train from Salem and should have dropped at Aluva Station.
Because his relatives have not yet appeared, he was taken to the Mahila Mandiram government.
The train police have registered two separate campfires and have started investigations.
