Hyderabad: Homegrown EV Startup Atumobile Pvt Ltd on Wednesday said the motorbike Atum 1.0 has received a design patent for its unique design of a patent controller and design.
The patent has been issued for its design that leads to a horse posture that will have while riding a sports bicycle.
Design patents are also provided for storage boxes, shaped like conventional fuel tanks.
In addition, the e-bike has also been awarded this design patent for its body design, which is not borne by the fairing, gives a retro motorbike and reduces bicycle weight to around 35 kg.
When receiving a design patent, Vamsi Gaddam, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Atumobile Pvt Ltd said, “our target audience, consisting of people between groups of age 15-45, are loving design and customer feedback has been quite satisfying.” Atum1.0 e-Bike was launched in October 2020 with the basic price of Rs 55,000 and since it was launched, the company has received more than 850 orders.
Bicycles are produced at Patancheru facilities in Hyderabad which have a total capacity of 15,000 bicycles per year.
