Patna: Soaked in patriotic spirit, the city is ready to celebrate the Republican Day on Wednesday.
Security has been enhanced in and around the historic Gandhi Maidan where the main event will be held in front of Governor Phagu Chauhan and Minister Nitish Kumar.
This event will be a live broadcast on different digital platforms from 8:00 in the view of Covid Pandemi.
Some landmarks and buildings have been decorated with lights and flower decor reflects the tricolor.
Police and traffic personnel began conducting strict vehicle checks on Patna at the day of the Republic on Tuesday.
A dog squad is placed in Gandhi Maidan.
About 300 police officers have been sent in Gandhi Maidan to ensure peace celebrations.
At least 200 police officers will still be present outside Gandhi Maidan during the event.
Overall 14 contingents will take part in this year’s R-Day parade led by Kamya Mishra’s female officer.
Armed Forces (Male), Armed District Forces (Women), CRPF, SSB, ITBP, BMP (Male), BMP (Women), Home Guards, Dog Squads and Fire Extinguisher will participate in the parade.
Eight decorated tableaux will also be shown highlighting social messages and schemes that are different from the state government.
Meanwhile, the market in the city is flooded with tricolors and other decorative items such as badges, hats, balloons, ribbons, bouquets, brooches, ribbons and wrist bands.
Emergency kiosks sell tricolors and various related items have come in different places.
Candied shops sell Barfi tri-color, Mithais (sweets) and cakes on Tuesday.
Most educational institutions in the city, especially schools, will celebrate the event almost because of covid restrictions.
