Patna: The police on Wednesday arrested three criminals from their rented accommodation near the Kanti factory road under the Patrakarnagar police station for alleged involvement in three separate murder and murder cases.
Two-made states, three magazines, seven live cartridges, cellphones, motorbikes and RS 38,150 Cash were found from ownership of criminals arrested, which was identified as Shankar Kumar aka Shankar Rai, Ganesh Kumar aka Ganesh Rai (both of them from Dhanarua) and Kanhaiya Kumar aka Shahrukh of Rajai in Nawada.
The criminals were arrested by a special investigation team led by City SP (East) Jitendra Kumar and aware of ASP Sandeep Singh with the Cancer Police Station.
According to the police, the three criminals were involved in a booty at an artificial jewelry store in Kankarbagh on December 26.
A Kumar Manish, the husband of a salesperson in the shop, was shot dead by criminals during boat.
Patna SSP Upendra Sharma said criminals were also involved in the murder of a transgender at the Chiraiyatand Bridge in the city on December 21.
“One Amit Kumar was previously arrested in this case and he was forwarded to prison,” SSP said.
Transgender was shot dead when returning from a birthday party.
The murder triggered protest in the city with members of the Transgender community hitting the road.
Three criminals were also involved in other booty at a jewelry shop in Anisabad on December 18.
“Investigations revealed that the same gang was involved in the three incidents.
The criminals were ordered under the ARM and various parts of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC),” SSP said.
