Patna: 5 Douts is held on the Igims campus

Patna: Five alleged brokers arrested from the Campus of the Indira Gandhi Medical Institute (IGIMS) on Friday under ‘Clean Operations’ was launched by hospital administration to save people from immoral people to buy drugs from shops Personal or visit private laboratories or diagnostic centers for pathological or radiological examinations.
Dr.
Manish Mandal’s medical supervisor said the operation was launched a week ago after getting information about brokers running the network and getting evidence against them through security staff and CCTV cameras.
“We contacted City SP whose direction of the Shastri Nagar police team began to keep an eye on watching CCTV’s footage and finally arrested five people and won six cellphones from them today.
Many other brokers escape from campus,” Mandal said.
IGIMS runs three drug stores – Jan Aushadhi Kendra, Amrit and central drug stores under the Prime Minister Jan Aushadhi Kendras where drugs are available at a price of 30 to 40% cheaper than those sold in private stores.
When some poor patients lack money to buy all the drugs prescribed there, brokers offer them for the mortgage of their personal items, cellphones, gold rings, chains or watches instead of arranging drugs from outside and that too, at prices higher, he said.
The second wave of Covid and Kuncian have placed brakes to brokers because all drugs on viral or mucoric infections are available from the state government or drug store.
Mandal said the drive would continue when dozens of gang members who were touting would still be arrested.
