Patna: Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport (JPNI) here has been chosen as one of the seven airports in the country for the ‘voice’ of customer recognition at the airport of the International Board (ACI) survey of airport service (ASQ) 2021.
ACI initiative initiative ‘customer’s voice ‘To admit and recognize airports that continue to prioritize their customers and are committed to ensuring their voices are heard, even during covid pandemics.
This year, more than 200 airports have been recognized throughout the world.
Six other airports in the country have been chosen for ‘votes from customer recognition are Chennai, Kolkata, Goa, Pune, Bhubaneswar and Chandigarh.
ASQ survey is a world-famous global benchmark program that measures passenger satisfaction, while they travel through the airport.
ASQ Awards recognize airports throughout the world that provide the best customer experience.
Recognition of the ‘customer’s voice’ is separated from the ASQ award, whose winners will be announced in March.
In order to be eligible to become a ‘customer voice’ receiver, the airport must collect three or more quarters of data through the ASQ program.
“This is a proud moment for us because our efforts for better customer handling have been recognized at the international level.

Negi said the Asq Patna Airport rating in the last quarter was around 4.6.
“AsQ airport ratings are based on 33 parameters based on customer experience and patna airport rankings have increased gradually,” he added.
According to sources, ASQ ratings of Patna airports have increased significantly on several parameters in the past, including shopping facilities, the availability of ATM kiosks, restaurants, baggage delivery speeds and money modifiers.
Construction work is underway for the development of new terminal buildings and other additional buildings at city airports.
The new terminal building is targeted to be made in December 2023.
It will increase the capacity of airport passenger handling from 50 lakh to 80 lakh per year.
According to the latest figures issued by AAA, Patna Airport handled 22,29,667 passengers between April and December last year, including 3,32,314 in December only.
