Patna: A Police Sub-Inspector Assistant Devendra Kumar Yadav (58) suffered from depression suspected of committing suicide in rented accommodation in Dhobi Teach in Mandiri in Buddha Colon State Capital.
YADAV is Nawtolia’s native underworld Bazaar Police in Munger and posted at the Gandhi Maidan police station in Patna from 2019.
The problem was revealed after the stench began to come from his room which warned the owner and neighbor of Yadav on Friday morning after that they immediately told Police.
Buddha Colony Police Station Sho (in-Charge) Durgesh Gahlot said that Yadav was found hanging from the rope tied with the hook on the roof.
“The police first broke the iron grill that was locked from inside.
Then the wooden door was dislodged to get into the room,” he said.
Gahlot said that one of the five daughters who lived with him, went somewhere and he was alone at least ten days.
“Yadav is on duty until the morning of July 14.
After that, he was never seen and could not be contacted.
It seems that Yadav has committed suicide on the same day,” Sho said.
Quoting a neighbor, he said that Yadav was constantly used to live in depression and never interact with anyone.
“The reason behind it is unclear.
There are no restored suicide records.
Daughter-in-law, a police officer, who is suspected of being offered but family members have not mentioned something about it in the written application to the police,” he said.
Gahlot said that Yadav’s body had been handed over to the family after post-mortem.
“He has five daughters and a son.
Two daughters are married.
One of the daughters is also a police officer.
The child is unemployed,” he added.
