Patna: Nearly 60% of civil works on the DR A project that are ambitious PR J Abdul Kalam Science has been completed so far, according to the officials of the State Building Construction Department.
G +1 Building with advanced technology is being built more than 30,000 square meters in 15 hectares of land near Moin-ul-Haq Stadium in Rajendra Nagar.
It is expected to be completed at the end of 2022.
According to the executive engineer, the work was delayed because of the covid-induced locking.
Kumar Ravi, Secretary of the Ministry of Building Construction, said, “The work at the exhibition has also begun.
Private companies, flying elephants, who prepare the design of the architecture of the building, have given a contract to the Canadian-based GSM project to design the exhibition,” he said.
Ravi added, “The number of models has increased from 200 to 243.
These models will be displayed in the Science City Gallery.
The State Science and Technology Department will approve the exhibition design.” The city of science is being built with more expenses than Rs 400 Crore, including civil works and exhibition.
It will have four galleries – ‘body and mind’, ‘basic science’, ‘space and astronomy’ and ‘sustainable planet’.
There will be four learning suites – ‘Space Maker’, ‘big data center’, ‘kitchen’ and ‘gym’.
As designed, the hostel will be built on the first floor, especially for school children who want to stay for a study of studies or sightseeing.
When finished, the hostel will accommodate 250 children and it will be connected with the study suite.
This project was conceptualized in 2012 and construction work began in March 2019 after CM Nith Nith Kumar Laid Foundation for the project.
The proposed science city is intended to promote science among people and show and preserve the history of famous scientific development in Bihar.
